I am astounded to discover it has actually been four years since I have posted here! Facebook and other media came on board and I forgot that I still had this wonderful resource to communicate in a one-post format when I wanted to say more than fits with social media .

Happy Spring for those of us of on one half of the planet and Happy Fall to those on the opposite! My brief update is that I am happy living in Santa Cruz CA. I'm now available for private reading via FB, Zoom or phone and will be starting a zoom astrology class at some point.  if you are interested please let me know. During continuing covid challenges I have a donation system so contact me if you are interested or if you would like to know when classes start.

I now have a UTube page "Esther Frances"  where I am posting recent Facebook "A-Muse-in'-Express" live Facebook programs that I am sharing from my home.  Each presentation is a mix of my musings:  songs, poems, word art, inspirations, wisdom from my teachers, astrological weather reports, laughter and love.

The next one is this Thursday, March 18, 2021 at 11am PDT.  We will be live on Facebook and later I'll transfer to UTube. 

I'm also happy to announce my song "Mother Earth Calls" was a winner in a Women of Substance Radio & Podcast. It will be playing the week of April 19th on Itunes and other podcast venues. I will update as I learn. 

This site is primarily an archive library.  I am still writing songs and have had the joy in being in the authentic and wonderful Innerlight Ministries gospel choir for two years.

I'm also in the middle of a transformative 100 Day Training in Ancient Healing Secrets based on the Siddha-Veda Ayurvedic lineage that goies back 2500 years to Jivaca, the personal physician of the Buddha. I recommend the book "Ancient Secrets of a Healing Master" by Dr. Clint G. Rogers to learn about it and how Dr. Naram, Dr. Clint's mentor, passed this on for our time to also benefit from these techniques and principles.

March 14th, 7:30 pm.  In this world of beauty, challenge and transition, we need to be as present, aware and loving as possible, so that we can be of greater service. Esther will offer a guided meditation, that we can use each day, to remember our joy, renew and experience dawn as the spring of each day.  Then we will celebrate the Spring Equinox with a bit of Cosmic Cabaret of original poems and songs that invite us to awaken, love, heal and celebrate ourselves and our relationship with Mother Earth and the community of Life.
 

Archetype: Demeter/Ceres---Practical Nurturer / The Server:  Moon & Pallas Athena in Virgo, conjunct the Midheaven:  
You contribute by bringing your creativy, wisdom and skills, motivated by service and
rooted in the ability to discriminate “the wheat from the chaff” to your vocation.  

Key message: You are perfect as you are, right here, right now, nothing left out!  You don’t have to “be perfect” in order to be successful, beneficial and valuable in your work in the world.
Awareness is the key, discrimination the guide.  The middle ground lies between the extremes of getting bogged down in the particulars and glossing over what is really important.  We are receiving and learning how to give practical nurturance.                         

Archetype: Divine Mother/ Emotional Nurturer / The Giver: Jupiter and Mercury in Cancer in the 8th house:  
As women Goddesspreneurs we honor and communicate our feelings.  We are sensitive to the needs of our clients, and realize we can authentically fulfill our needs most effectively by supporting the transformations and  journeys of each other.  We succeed by pooling our wisdom and in knowing that each person’s progress is also our own. We create an environment of care and transformation.

Archetypes: Goddess Kali/ Innanna/Persephine /:Death and Rebirth:  Scorpio Rising at 29 degrees +, Change, Power & Transformation:
The 29th degree is very special.  I think of it as the “elder” of the sign, symbolizing the opportunity to express the greatest integrity of the sign.
The planet associated with Scorpio is Pluto, the archetype of death and rebirth. It is now retrograde in the 2nd house, symbolizing our personal relationship to money, what we have, and what we value. 

We are here to release our old attitudes and die to the beliefs that have held us back from realizing our full potential and financial well-being.  

We are here to transform and take back our power from the patriachical Pluto in Capricorn and the Saturn in Scorpio Father archetype in the 12th house, to integrate our own “shadows” and to generate a new way of “doing business” based on Being and what is truely valuable to us in an ecological and sustainable manner.

4. Archetype: Minnie, the mermaid, fish-tailed, Aphrodite /Alchemist-Universalist / Mystic/ Compassion:  Neptune in Pisces, Part of Fortune, I.C. and Chiron in Pisces, with Chiron in Pisces in opposition to Moon in Virgo
The key here is rooting in the ground of compassion and Great Spirit/Source/The Universe. Compassion is the compass, and the trick is to be open and receptive to receiving direction from the cosmic sea, the universal waters and Grandmother Ocean where you can go to recharge and replenish. We are healed and are healing by realizing our relationship to the universal ocean of imagination, compassion, inspiration and spiritual guidance as the foundation for navigating the waters of our lives.

 5. Archetypes: Bast, an aspect of the Egyptian lioness goddess Hathor and the Greek Goddess Pallas Athena / S-hero / Maverick /  Artist / Humanitarian: The invitation is to engage in new, collaborative ways of being :  Uranus and South Node in Aries in the 5th House; Mars in Libra plus N.Node, Ceres, and Vesta in the 11th house of friendship and aspirations:  We live in a society that equates doing with having.  Actually it is the balance between being and doing that gives the deep rhythm of breath that brings the greatest rewards.  The idea that you have to “earn” your keep is very different than the idea that when you give authentically, in alignment with your original inspirations, you will receive the fruits from the seeds and deeds that you plant and cultivate.

Working together for the mutual benefit of all, improvising and hatching new ideas co-creatively, in cooperation with each other, yields peace, prosperity and groundedness in manifesting your work into the world, as signified by Venus in Taurus in the 6th house of work, health and integration.

6.  Archetypes: Demeter in co-creation with the Tightrope Walker!  Nurturer / Peacemaker / Pactifist (peaceful activist). North Node, Vesta and Mars in Libra in the 10th House.
There is a need for alone time, for assimilation and digestion of experience, and a need to be in the activity of co-creating, with partners and peers, to create a greater excellence and quality of offerings.  Shadow: overwork and perfectionism. The key here is a dynamic balancing of personal needs and the need to serve others.

7.Archetype:  Iris the Greek rainbow Goddess, Teacher / Jestor:  The One in the Many and the many in The One, symbolizing a Gemini, 7th house Sun, with a Sagittarius Earth in the 1st house.  By honoring the many colors and flavors of Being, present in us and around us,  we weave a beautiful tapestry of relationships and together realize the creative breakthroughs, (Sun sextile Uranus) we’ve been longing for.  As expressed in my poem “A Vision of Peace,”

Our task is to collaborate
Bring all our talents to the fore
So we can build a playground
Like we’ve never seen before!

    Age Is a State of Mind:
The Power of Knowing You Are The Timeless Dressed up in the Costume of Time

    Age is a state of mind, I declare my union with the infinite sublime! I sing this declaration every year at my birthday, and throughout the year at the birthday parties for my friends.  Why?  

    My body temple and your body temple, are always changing. Our bodies are sculpted like the coastal trees and striated cliffs. It is tempting to fall into the seduction of thinking we are these amazing bio-physical bodies that identify us with a name and a form.  How many of you look in the mirror and think “How can this older person in the mirror be me?”  “What happened to me?”  Can anyone here relate? ---if so, I invite you to turn to another and say, “How can this be me?” ---

    Or how many times do you see a reflection of --- what you see and know others perceive as an old body --- yet you realize that who you are is more alive, aware and awake than you have ever been before in your entire life?  ---if you can relate, I invite you to turn to someone else and say, “You are alive, aware and awake!”

    Or, do any of you sense that the you of you is --- the very same presence that was there when you were a child, a teenager, a young adult ---the essential you who is the you that you are now?  Let’s see a show of hands for those who can relate.

    And are there some of you here that realize the real, true, authentic, “who I Am,” dwells only temporarily within this body.  Physicist Nassim Haramein declares that we are 99.9999% Space!   Each body is made up of one hundred trillion cells, an estimated seventy-five% water, contains billions of bacteria, and is a composite of all the five elements!  Too hot or too cold and these bodies perish. Given this composite doesn’t it appear more realistic to see that this body I call “me” is actually “the costume of time that my timeless essence is dressed up in?”

    Please turn to a neighbor and look at each other through eyes that are marveling at this conglomerate community we call a self.  As you look I invite you to release the image of the personality in front of you and instead look as if you are taking in a miracle.  Witness a Being in a body composed of all these intelligences.  What changes do you notice when you look at each other through these eyes of wonder?

    Isn’t it good news is that you are much, much more that the image you see before you in the mirror?

    I’m curious to know if any of you have had an initiation into this time of Life we call the Crone? In astrology the age fifty is the typical time for the Chiron return.  I consider this the first landmark of early “elderhood.”  

    In astrology the Chiron Return, usually around the fiftieth year, initiates the beginning of the Crone years.  There is ofter a revisiting of priorities and an intense desire to give back and contribute to the greater whole.  The Saturn Return, around age 58, is an even more compelling time of becoming an elder, a time when again the need to rearrange priorities becomes clear.  The outgrown must be discarded so the focus may be on what is now really important to us. At sixty, our fifth Jupiter return can accompany a need to start accomplishing the “bucket list” drawn up at the Saturn return.   Sixty-three brings us three-quarters around the track of the Uranian cycle, giving us extra incentive to shift gears into greater freedom and awakening. This includes the freedom that derives from discarding out-moded ideas, beliefs and conditionings.

    Lacking an external ceremony, I had a very powerful dream initiation that I recognized was ushering me into this new Life phase. In the dream, I flew to someplace that I didn’t recognize, landed like a bird, then walked into an earthen-like cottage where I was met by an old woman.  I don’t remember any more of the details at this time. When I awoke I recognized the dream as an initiation into the beginning of my life as a crone.  

        I like to navigate Life with the knowing that I am beyond an either/or, a this or a that, and  that I’m actually both/and and much, much more.  It feels freeing to leave behind the conflictive and restrictive container that wants to position us into being either for or against; either a this or a that.  Nature doesn’t abide by any such nonsense as that which is contrived by the human mind that has forgotten its own Nature.

    We act as if humans were a separate species, separate from all the other kindoms, giving us the ability to do whatever we like to the rest of the planet, as if it wouldn’t effect us or come back to us like a boomerang.  My late teacher, Thomas Berry said, “We are talking only to ourselves.  We are not talking to the rivers, we are not listening to the wind and stars.  We have broken the great conversation.  By breaking that conversation we have shattered the universe.  All the disasters that are happening now are a consequence of the spiritual ‘autism.”

    What if as crones, we have the power, the opportunity and the responsibility to reclaim the power of the elder to seed the coming generations with a renewed love and respect for our planet?  What if we are the ones called to speak out for the Earth, for social justice, and to complete the Soul journey we came here for?  

    What if we, as crones, can inhabitat the ‘tween” habitat where apparent contradictions can reside together in harmony?  What if we can definitively know that we are infinite beings engaged in a three dimensional space/time movie where the character we are playing --- that we are so intimately identified with --- is now occupying an older body, yet we can simultaneously experience that we are ultimately the great, timeless, presence living within it?  

    If these two dimensional realities were allowed to dance together within us, what MAgic might unfold?

    Is the invitation to us, as crones, to be to be the bridge between timeless wisdom, and the acquired “street smarts” acquired from surviving to become this old?  Is it possible that we can be a bridge to the adult children and grandchildren, who are often so caught up in the distractions of modern day life they find it difficult to stop, listen and respond to the larger challenges of our time?

    What if, as crones, we have an essential role to play in healing our frayed communities and our imperiled environs? What if we were to step into our power, embrace and declare ourselves as integral, vital and essential members of the human family that are stepping up to our responsibilities as elders to educate by our presence and experiences? We can refuse to go into complicity with the notion that old age is a time of decline, to be dreaded and avoided.
    One of my joys is crack open words and discover their inner codings.  One of my primary tools for this endeavor is to listen to how the word sounds phonetically. Hmmmm.....CROW-n! Aha!  Is it just coincidence that Jamie Sams, in her “Medicine Cards” book based on Native American animal medicine, says  “With Crow medicine, you speak in a powerful voice when addressing issues that for you seem out of harmony, out of balance, out of whack or unjust.”  She goes on to say, “The prime path of true Crow people says to be mindful of your opinions and actions. Be willing to walk your talk, speak your truth, know your life’s mission, and balance past present and future in the now.  Shape shift that old reality and become your future self.  Allow the bending of physical laws to aid in creating the shape shifted world of peace.”  To me, that sounds like an apt prescription or invitation for us as crones.  

    We can take a stand and caw out as a flock of crows, lifting your winged arms, and letting your voice caw it like it is!
    
    I think we have a new calling, a new potency, a new opportunity, to hold the “possibility consciousness” for a new way of being, that my mentor Thomas Berry called “The Ecozoic Era,” a time when humans are in harmony within themselves, with each other, and with the whole Earth community.  Let’s empower each other to be the change we are waiting for. We can be evolutionary catalysts and create a new Earth where all ages, all genders, all species and all habitats are respected.

    Questions we can ask ourselves are:
How are you are acting as an empowered conscious crone?  Share at least one example.
Is there a step or action that you haven’t taken that you’d life to.”  

    We can say to each other:  “I see you.  I see your wisdom.  I see your love.  I see your power. I see your kindness. I see your beauty. I see you, I bless you, I love you.”   

    
    There are no prescribed answers.  It is up to us to tap into our creative intelligence and together discover and craft wisdom for our times for we are all, in co-creation - young ones and elders - forging new visions and structures that will support our transition into a way of Life where we can experience peace, love, and joy in harmony with Nature.

    Our biggest challenge is to become “F.I.T.”   False Identity Transformers, leaving behind the human caterpillar consciousness of separation and flourishing as HUEman butterflies, realizing that we are one, united, inter-dependent web of Life.  The days will be gone when winning means someone else has to lose, when success comes at the expense and sacrifice of others.

     Dream Change Coalition founder John Perkins asked the indigenous peoples of Ecuador what we in North America could do to stop the ruin of the rainforests. They told him to go back home and help your people change the dream.  Our current dream of separation and manifest destiny is destroying the planet and us with it. Let us awaken, and as the wise, old crones that we are, change the nightmare to a sustainable, loving compassionate dream.

Estrology: Aquarius/Pisces 2014  


As per typical retrograde, my communication has a little lag to it!  I do love Mercury retrograde despite it not being a great time for communications, transportation, or plans to go as expected or as planned!  

Last week I was honored to be a part of a very important Mother/Daughter Summit, created by Robin LaCross to empower mothers to be able to talk to their daughters about sex and reproduction.  A stuck button prevented the initial program from recording, while we, the presenters, thought we were talking to a planetary classroom!  Mercury Retrograde!  

Just as sunshine and rainy days are better suited for different activities, so is Mercury in its direct and retrograde phases.  Neither is bad or good, yet both are bad or good for certain purposes! The retrograde phases are great for retrospectives of any kind including catching up with what was previously intended but never actualized. Return again, and re do.  Retrograde is a great time for renewal, revival, re-connect, review and just about anything that has a re prefix.

The good news is we all are so committed to Robin’s work that we re-did the entire program! It was repeated Thursday night and is on her website to listen or download.
I view this summit as a significant event in the return of “The Divine Feminine.”  For further information about it please go to http://raisingempowereddaughters.com.  It goes through March 11th. I posted the intentions that I wrote as proclamations for the program on my website, EstherFrances.com under news.  

By looking at our conditioning of shame and refusing to pass along this toxic legacy, we take back our power from disfunctional systems. We begin to heal the wounds, some originating many centuries ago when the wisest, most powerful and capable women were persecuted and killed for being wise, sufficient, capable human beings.

I am celebrating women like Robin, who are willing to look the taboos in the face. By healing the gap separating generations that has made females to feel “less than,” a restoration of human dignity occurs. This benefit extends beyond females to the whole human species. We all come into this life through a Mother!  By re-connecting with the sacred essence of the Divine Feminine, we take back our power and dignity.

Empowered communication translates to an ability to prevent unwanted pregnancies, sexually transmitted diseases and humiliating sexual encounters. With renewed self-respect and knowledge our young women can make intelligent choices from a place of grounded knowing, unlike many of us older women who never received any real education or empowerment as we transitioned into womenhood.

Within an astrological context I see this as a manifestation of Jupiter in Cancer, the archetype of mother, child and the family in opposition to  Pluto in Capricorn, the father archetype, often associated with control,  authority over and domination in its less conscious expressions.  Pluto is breaking down and breaking through what is obsolete, while Jupiter expands the urge to care and nourish.

Mercury goes direct on February 28th.  I’m planning to wait until then to have some auto and dental maintenance done.  I’m not a fanatic or astro-fundamentalist, so if you have to attend to some things involving communications, cars, or siblings before the direct Mercury, go for it with some extra awareness and make sure to review terms and agreements.

A teeny weenie about Aquarius, where Mercury is residing now until the 18th degree Aquarius, on the 18th when it turns direct and remains in the sign until March 17th.  Venus --- love, relationships, money, social justice issues --- enters Aquarius on March 6th and stays in the sign until April 5th.

The Aquarian archetype has two planets associated with it---Saturn and Uranus.
Snowflakes are a perfect example of how Saturn, the principle of structure and form and Uranus, the energy that celebrates uniqueness, diversity and individual expression coexist beautifully.  Each snowflake is distinct in its mandala of form, yet each display a  cohesive and compelling sructure.  Aquarius is also associated with friendship, group activities and “the tribe.”   The collectivity of snowflakes creating a blanket of snow illustrates the collective power of the individual snowflakes when they express themselves together.

Aquarians are the elders of the air signs. They are coded to see the need for community in both its collective and individual expressions.  I see Aquarius as the principle of circulation and right now there is a growing recognition that we have a planetary problem of circulation.  Our challenge is to share love and leadership (heart/ Leo) to make sure that all the voices are heard and all the needs are met rather than an elite monopolizing policy and goods.  The needs of the greater whole Earth community are crying out and insisting that the heart no longer try to keep the blood to itself!!!!!

As the Sun in Pisces journeys in conjunction with Neptune and then with Chiron, now is the time to cut through confusion and bring forth compassion, connect with Divinity, and heal through inspiration, imagination, and the recognition that we are one interdependent whole.  No more escapism, illusions and addictions!  Time to substitute authentic spiritual connection and sacred activism so all needs can be divinely met!

Pisces gives us the opportunity to vision, imagine, and feel what it would be like if our dreams were realized. One of my dreams is to be a catalyst and change agent toward a planetary consciousness that realizes and celebrates the sacredness of Nature and of Life.  I created the Earth Is My Cathedral Ministry as a way of sharing the inspiration I have received, especially through songs and poetry, that convey hope and context to the breakdown and breakthrough of our times.

Saturday, March 1st, the day after Mercury turns direct, Mars goes Retrograde at 27 and change Libra, until May 20th when Mars goes direct at 9 degrees and change Libra.  Libra is concerned with fairness, equality, justice, beauty, the arts, the art of dynamic balance and most primarily, relationships of all shapes and stripes, especially the more committed partnerships.  Traditionally, Libra was the sign associated with marriage, committed business partnerships or any relationships with the intention to endure over time and to serve a purpose of function beyond the attraction and happiness associated with love that the 5th house of romance.

Mars is the archetype that speaks to action, desire, motivation, and movement.  In the retrograde, you might feel that your plans are not proceeding as rapidly as planned!  It is a great time for patience, review and re-evaluation of how you intend to go about implementing your desired direction.  It’s also a great time for activities that have an inward, introspective focus.  Rather than just seeking external peace, you could see what you can do within yourself to make peace with what is.
